To North Americans the loon is a symbol of Canadian wilderness and extreme solitude. For me, its call brings back visions of pristine northern lakes being kissed by golden hour light, and nature at its finest.

The Loons attractive plumage has made it one of the most sought after birds to photograph and we have been photographing these birds for over half a decade. Now we want to share the skills and locations to help you put these attractive birds in your+ own portfolio.

But its not only the Loons that you will have a chance to photograph. Wood Ducks, Merganzers, Golden Eyes, Bald Eagles, Osprey, Mute Swans, Pileated woodpeckers and a host of other aviary species call this area home.
