Northof49 "Signature Experience" Workshops

We are pleased to offer a new level of workshop... our "Signature Series Workshops"

In order for a workshop to achieve our “Signature Experience” status, we have to have scouted this location extensively on our own time to understand not only the geography, but the environment, the people and the history of the area you visit with us.  This makes this more than a photo workshop. We must also have to have run this workshop a minimum of five times with continual, positive feedback from our guests that have attended these workshops. As with all our workshops at Northof49, its through this feedback we continue to modify and improve the workshops to better offer you an unparalleled experience.

The workshop leaders for our Signature Series are hand picked to lead these workshops because they have personally gained extensive insight into the location, have a passion for the subjects, and embraced the culture of the area you will be visiting. The workshops on this page are more than a photography workshop, they are an immersion into the subject matter and the location, lead by someone extremely qualified to answer, not only your photography questions, but your environmental and social questions you may have while on your workshop.

They are photography vacations with an extensive learning component on photography styles, the location, and we never forgetting to have an abundance of laughs along the way.

For our Canadian tours to have the designation of a “Signature Experience”, the additional criteria is that the workshop (a) takes our guests deeper into Canada’s world class nature such as Globally recognized areas such as UNESCO World Heritage sites and Biospheres, (b) guides you to witness exceptional events that many will never witness in person, events such as the aurora borealis or meters away from cathedral icebergs in iceberg ally, and (c) the “Signature Experience”, through our experience and research, will put you in the right location to see Canadian wildlife on their annual migratory and seasonal patterns that we have studied and mapped.

For our Global workshops to have the designation of a Signature Experience, the workshop must venture beyond the beaten tourist paths. It’s an experience that dives deeper into that countries natural environment and/or authentic, local culture. The workshop engages visitors in a series of memorable travel activities that are personal, it engages the senses, and allows you to make connections on an emotional, physical, spiritual, intellectual or social level while with us at that destination.
